Are you tired of winter? Craving for a balmy summer night; burgers on the grill? We feel the same!
After -42 wind chill a couple of days ago here in Sioux Falls, SD, we wished for summer…
While we couldn’t change the outside temperature and we also could not utilize the BBQ grill, we realized that we could bring the burger inside. We used our raclette grill to make some fantastic racletteburgers!
Cheese slices (we used Montanella Raclette Cheese)
Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, seasoning
Use the grill side of the grill top. Preheat the raclette grill. When temperature is reached put the patties and the sliced onions on the grill. The onions need to be stirred frequently so they get soft rather than brown. Add a piece of butter if you like. The patties should be ready to turn after about 4 minutes. Now it’s time to put the cheese slice in the dish and place it under the grill. Warm the sliced buns on the grill top, face down. When the patties are done start assembling. Let the cheese slide from the dish onto the burger, top with onions. Add tomatoes, lettuce and condiments as desired. Serve with your favorite summer drink and kick back!
